Mr. Gary Yandell
Adjunct Instructor of Visual Arts
Gary Yandell has been serving as an adjunct professor in the Visual Arts Department since 2013. He has been a freelance photographer for 25 years in northwest Arkansas.
Gary originally worked with traditional film in many formats from 35mm- 4x5 large format in a studio and location environment. In 1996 Mr. Yandell partnered with Wal-Mart to bring digital photography into their marketing department. It was one of the first untethered digital cameras in Arkansas. Yandell’s client list includes many Fortune 500 companies, numerous national and international magazines as well as newspapers. He was a stringer for the Associated Press and a contract photographer for the University of Arkansas Men’s Athletic Department for many years providing media-related images for Sports Information. Gary’s current work includes package design, signing, corporate and various editorial assignments around the country.
The Yandells (Gary and Ande) have three sons, Zak, Zeb and Eston. Gary spends his free time involved with the Boy Scouts of America, fly-fishing, hunting, archery, and is an NRA Certified Firearms instructor.
