Andy is a graphic designer and illustrator with 23-plus years of experience in shopper marketing, packaging, and retail design. Andy's work experience encompasses many facets of the design world, ranging from running a successful freelance business, being a creative director, and most recently serving as the CEO of Dare Devil Display Works in Rogers, AR. Over the years, he has worked with many large brands such as Disney, Walmart, Hasbro, Ghirardelli, and Electronic Arts.
Andy advocates for a holistic design approach, where designers leverage all relevant skills and technologies to align with the desired intent of a product or campaign. Intent and function are the primary drivers behind design decisions and are the key criteria for evaluating design success. Andy believes in fostering a balance of pure, unstifled creativity with practical real-world application. He believes the designer should strive to ultimately please the client without compromising on quality or creativity. Most importantly, Andy believes that as Christians, we must carry out our vocation in a way that honors God, edifies His creation, and builds His kingdom.
Andy and his wife Jennica have three boys, Liam, Soren, and Dawson. When free time rarely occurs, you will find him drawing often accompanied by lyricless music such as epic or emotive movie scores.
