Baronger Bieger

Assistant Professor of Biology

Baronger Bieger was born in Texas, but fell in love with Arkansas while attending college at Ouachita Baptist University. After obtaining a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in English, he spent a year working as a construction mentor in Wisconsin at HoneyRock, Wheaton's outdoor center for leadership development. After completing his Ph.D. in molecular biology at the University of Arkansas, Dr. Bieger is excited to teach courses like Microbiology and Ecology & Evolution at JBU!

In his free time, Dr. Bieger loves immersing himself in nature, doing minor construction and wood-working projects, taking care of his chickens, and engaging with the works of authors like GK Chesterton, CS Lewis, George MacDonald, and Henry David Thoreau.
