Alexis Beebe
Instructor of Counseling
Alexis is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Communications from Cleveland State University and a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Denver Seminary. Her research interests include the integration of faith and clinical practice, scrupulosity, and clergy mental health and well-being.
She has extensive experience counseling individuals and facilitating groups across a range of settings, including inpatient treatment facilities, government agencies, higher education institutions, and private practice. Her clinical approach draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy. She has particular expertise in working with concerns related to depression, anxiety, shame, substance use and addiction, relational issues, life transitions, and crises of faith.
She is an active member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the Christian Association for Psychological Studies.
Outside of her professional work, Alexis values time with her husband, Jared, their children, and extended family and friends.
She is actively involved in her church community and enjoys hospitality, event planning, and culinary pursuits, particularly cooking, baking and sharing meals with loved ones.
