Mr. Mark Terrill earned a B.S. in Geological Engineering from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in 1985, an M.S. Engineering (Construction Management) from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998, and an M. A.  Biblical Studies from Temple Baptist Seminary in 2011.  Mr. Terrill is a Professional Engineer in the state of Virginia, and an OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer.  Prior to teaching at JBU, Mr. Terrill spent 22 years in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps retiring in 2008 at the rank of Commander.  His experience includes facilities management at the Naval Hospital in Guam and USMC Air Station in Arizona; contingency construction during Gulf War I in Saudi Arabia, the Mount Pinatubo eruption in the Philippines, Hurricane Andrew in Florida, and the Iraq War in Fallujah; project and contract management at Naval Stations in Spain and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and facilities planning for the USMC in Virginia and Hawaii.

Mr. Terrill enjoys fitness activities and shooting sports.  He is the sponsor for the JBU Shooting Sports Club and the Athletic Director for the Northeast Oklahoma Association of Homeschools Shooting Sports Program in Tulsa, OK. He and his wife Dine have four adult children.
