Emily Hornok is currently pursuing her doctorate in accounting at The University of Mississippi's Patterson School of Accountancy. Prior to starting the doctoral program in 2014, she worked at Rasco, Winter, Abston, Moore & Associates, LLP in Little Rock, Arkansas, as a senior accountant. She joined the firm in 2010 and worked primarily in the audit practice of the firm. Emily graduated from John Brown University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. After interning with Rasco, Winter, Abston, Moore & Associates, LLP in the spring of 2009, she attended the University of Arkansas and graduated with a masters of accountancy in May 2010. She is licensed by the Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. During her time in public accounting, Emily worked with various industries including manufacturing, not-for-profit, and low-income housing.
When not working, Emily enjoys cooking, baking, and trying new recipes to share with her family and friends. She also enjoys traveling to visit her family in Texas, Utah, and Illinois.
