In the fall of 2018 Army Lieutenant Colonel Elias Otoshi visited John Brown University to share memories of his two tours in Iraq. Among other things, LTC Otoshi discusses the impact of 9/11 on his work as an officer. He offers thoughts about leadership in a combat zone. At the time of the interview, LTC Otoshi was the commander of the ROTC program at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

In the fall of 2018 retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Chad Quayle visited John Brown University to share memories of his time in Iraq. Among other things, he describes his memories of the terrorist attacks of 9/11 an insurgent tactic he experienced. He describes how service in Iraq could quickly change from boredom to chaos. LTC Quayle completed his Army career as the commander of the ROTC program at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
