JBU Ireland Alumni, Parent and Friends Trip
Discover the beauty and history of Ireland on an unforgettable 11-day journey with John Brown University. From Belfast to Dublin to Killarney, explore iconic landmarks like Giant’s Causeway, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Trinity College, and the vibrant streets of Dublin. Guided by Billy Stevenson, JBU staff and Ireland native, the trip will be enriched by the leadership of Chip and Carey Pollard and Jim and Pam Krall. Along the way, enjoy guided tours, great food, moments of reflection, and fellowship with alumni, parents and friends of JBU.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 4Arrival in Dublin / Travel to BelfastArrive in Dublin and enjoy lunch at the airport before traveling to Belfast. After checking in, we’ll walk to Victoria Square to explore for a couple of hours. The evening will close with an early dinner together at the hotel and an introduction to Northern Ireland. SATURDAY, SEPT. 5The Land of St. PatrickWe begin with visits to Downpatrick Cathedral and Saul Church, the site of Patrick’s first church (400 A.D.). SUNDAY, SEPT. 6C.S. Lewis DayWe will worship at St. Mark’s Dundela, the childhood parish of C.S. Lewis, then tour the church. After High Tea at The Old Inn in Crawfordsburn, we’ll visit C.S. MONDAY, SEPT. 7North Coast TourExplore the breathtaking North Coast with stops at Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, and Dunluce Castle. After lunch on your own, the afternoon is free to explore Belfast—shopping, Belfast Cathedral, and Belfast Castle are all options. WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 9Belfast Peace & CultureTake a Shankill Road tour, including the famous “Peace Wall” where Bill Stevenson will share his testimony. FRIDAY, SEPT. 11Dublin City TourTake in Dublin by bus with the hop-on, hop-off city tour, visiting Christ Church, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and the Chester Beatty Library (which houses early copies of portions of St. Paul’s letters). SATURDAY, SEPT. 12Dublin Walking TourEnjoy a walking tour with Billy Stevenson, including Trinity College Dublin and the National Gallery of Art (both within walking distance of the hotel).
