Skylar Ray

Dr. Skylar Ray comes to JBU from Baylor University, where she earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in History and served afterwards as a postdoctoral teaching fellow. She specializes in the religious and cultural history of the United States, and her research examines the relationship between American evangelicals, modern psychology, and mental health.
Skylar enjoys spending time outside, rediscovering literary fiction after the reading rigors of graduate school, conversations over coffee, and spending time with her Tulsa-based family (particularly her very round baby niece.)
