On-Campus Undergraduate Enrollment Deposit

Make JBU official

Your next chapter as a JBU Golden Eagle starts here! Submit your enrollment deposit to confirm your plans to attend JBU and reserve your place in the incoming class. We can't wait to see the ways you'll help shape the JBU community.

Why deposit early?

Get a head start

The date you deposit may be used to determine priority during certain enrollment processes. Depositing early can give you an advantage when those decisions are made.

Pay less upfront

JBU's enrollment deposit increases throughout the year, so depositing early means a smaller upfront payment.

Keep your options open

Your deposit is fully refundable through May 1 before your fall semester begins.

Limited-Time Deposit Offer

$150 $200

Make JBU official for $50 less upfront.

Through November 1, we've temporarily reduced the enrollment deposit to $150. Confirm your place in the incoming class for less today.

How much is the deposit?

Before January 1: $200
January 1 – February 28: $250
March 1 – August Enrollment: $300

Note: Submitting a deposit costs money, but it's not an additional charge. The amount you pay is applied toward your first-semester balance.

When should I deposit ?

We encourage you to deposit as soon as you're ready to confirm your plans to attend JBU. Depositing early can give you an advantage when JBU uses deposit dates to determine priority during the enrollment process. You'll also pay less upfront, since the deposit amount increases throughout the year.

Do I need to know which residence hall I want to live in before I deposit?

No, when you deposit, we'll ask for your housing preferences, but you can change them later. Your enrollment deposit also serves as your housing deposit if you plan to live on campus. We'll do our best to accommodate your housing preferences, but placement in a particular residence hall isn't guaranteed.

What happens if my college plans change?

The deposit is fully refundable until May 1 of the summer before fall classes begin.

What does my deposit do?

For all students

Your enrollment deposit confirms your place in the incoming class and covers your orientation fee. The date you deposit may also be used to determine priority during certain enrollment processes.

For on-campus students

Your deposit also serves as your housing deposit. You'll be asked to share your housing preferences when you deposit.

For off-campus students

Your deposit includes your orientation fee, with the remaining amount applied toward your first-semester balance. You'll also complete a commuter notification form to let JBU know where you'll be living.
