Where are you from?

Lindale, Texas

Major in College?

I majored in Christian Formation & Ministry with a Counseling emphasis. I also loved the Outdoor Leadership Ministries and Worship Arts departments so much I am only a few credits away in having a minor in both!

What activities were you involved in at JBU?

During my time at JBU, I was a Chapel Band Leader, an RA in J Alvin (Suite 24!), and an AVL Tech.

What are your favorite things to do in NWA?

Where to begin! You can find me sipping coffee and reading a good book at Pour Jons more often than not, walking the Bentonville trails (also with coffee) at Airship at Coler, or sitting by Sager Creek with tea. I love being active and outdoors, and love rock climbing, bouldering, and lifting weights!

What’s your favorite book?

I was introduced to the author John Mark Comer by a JBU professor, and cannot stop reading him! Specifically, I love his ‘Practicing the Way’ and ‘Garden City’ publications. A close first would also be anything Henri Nouwen!

What’s your favorite game?

I grew up playing Settlers of Catan and Nerts, and am always down for those! I also love playing Fortnite with my friends.

Describe your family?

15 members of my family, made up of immediate and extended family, live on a few acres in East Texas. We love family game/movie nights, going on hiking trips, and eating lots of great food!

What quick advice would you give an incoming JBU student?

Humility is the greatest trait you can bring into college. Don’t be afraid to ask your peers and professors for help, direction, or wisdom. You’ll quickly find out that you’re not the only one figuring things out. “The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight.
Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her.
She will place on your head a graceful garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown. Keep hold of instruction; do not let go; guard her, for she is your life.”
Proverbs 4:7-9, 13
