A special response to COVID-19
Your summer looks a lot different than expected. JBU at Home will help you connect with others and redeem canceled summer plans.
High-quality & Christ-centered
These are real JBU courses. They will count toward your degree and help you prepare for a successful career and a life of purpose.
Taught by JBU professors
With very few exceptions, these courses are taught by full-time professors – the same professors you'll be working with this fall.
Connect with others
Start making connections with new and current JBU students as well as professors.
Earn JBU credit
You can take up to 6 classes this summer (3 each session). That's up to a semester of college at a 70% tuition discount.
Save time and money
By taking courses now at a discount, you could graduate early and save around $9,500 in tuition.
How can these classes cost so much less?
Because of the generosity of JBU professors
Many students have lost part-time jobs, put internships on hold and had summer academic trips canceled. To help students make the most of these unfortunate realities, JBU professors stepped up.
Involved JBU professors are voluntarily teaching online courses in Summer 2020 for significantly less than their regular summer teaching rate.
Financial Aid
Pell-eligible students may be able to receive financial aid toward summer classes. Student loans are also an option for most incoming students. Contact the financial aid office or your admissions counselor for more information.
Using Pell for Summer 2020 will not affect Pell eligibility for the 2020–21 school year.
Course Structure
These courses are asynchronous (you won’t have common meeting times) but are NOT work at your own pace – there are assignments due each week.
Registration Process
Incoming students must sign up to request a seat in each JBU at Home course they are interested in. After current students have registered, incoming students will be registered for classes the week of May 4. Early Commit Students may register for JBU at Home courses the week of April 27 when they register for Fall 2020 classes.
