Blackboard
The Learning Management System (LMS) at JBU. Many instructors will leverage Blackboard to publish course information, assignments, scores, and act as a submission point for work. It is used as the primary learning environment for online classes and as a resource supplement for in-person classes.
Computer Labs
Several academic programs have computer labs implemented for instruction, specialized software use, and collaborative projects, including: Chemistry, Computer Science, Construction Management, Data & Analytics, Engineering, and Visual Arts.
Eaglenet
The campus portal for all students, faculty, and staff. It provides a starting point for digital services available at the University, such as degree planning, registering for classes, paying on your account, and navigating to announcements, information, and resources available to you as a student. There is also a JBU Eaglenet mobile app available in the Apple and Google app stores.
Email
JBU uses Microsoft Exchange to host student email accounts, and it is accessible from a web client or any mail client that supports connections to Microsoft Exchange directly or via the IMAP protocol. You may, for example, connect via an app on your mobile device, such as the Microsoft Outlook app, available in the Apple and Google app stores.
Media Lab
Collaborative, student-oriented print shop and makerspace for printing, copying, scanning, and creative projects.
Microsoft 365
Your JBU account gives you access to the Microsoft 365 suite of tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. You also have a dedicated amount of cloud storage provided via Microsoft OneDrive.
Printing
You may print to any of the numerous printers and copiers stationed around campus by sending your document(s) to JBU’s Cloud Print service. A per-print charge is assessed to a separate print account and you may add additional funds online or in-person at the Help Desk as needed.
Wi-Fi
Wireless networking is available throughout campus, including residence hall, study, and collaboration spaces.
Remote Access
Faculty and staff can access the University network from remote locations, whether to connect as a client directly or to access an on-campus workstation.
