Graduate Student Gender-Specific Facilities Policy
JBU seeks to treat all people with love, respect and dignity because all people are created in the image of God. JBU seeks to uphold this principle in allowing access to graduate students to our facilities. JBU currently has three types of gender-specific facilities that may be available for use by graduate students: restrooms, locker rooms and dressing rooms. In general, graduate students should use the facilities labeled “male” or “female” consistent with their birth sex. If a graduate student is not living with integrity and congruence with their birth sex or feels uncomfortable in following this request for whatever reason, we request that the person use the facilities labeled “family” or “individual” or “unisex.” If such a facility is not readily accessible, please speak with the graduate counseling office and we will seek to coordinate reasonable accommodations.
