Orientation: We will officially begin with Orientation Session I at 2:30pm.  If you will be living off campus and commuting to JBU, you will still need to complete enrollment on Monday and we encourage you to participate in all that Orientation has to offer.

COVID-19: As the coronavirus continues to require universities to enact COVID-19 protocols for the spring, we ask that you be ready to follow the guidelines we developed and believe help keep all of us safer and remain in face-to-face instruction. A full complement of rules and regulations can be found in our FAQ and in our COVID Covenant. Please, be ready to be screened when arriving on campus (temp check and symptom check).

Here are the top five things to remember:

  1. Wear your mask.
    1. Wear a close-fitting mask. It’s required almost everywhere. You can take it off outdoors if six feet apart; while eating (also 6 feet apart); in your door room if it’s just you and your roommate and the door is closed; in the shower; and while using the sink to wash your face or brush your teeth.
  2. Physically Distance.
    1. Maintain 6 feet distance from others. We know it’s hard, but it helps protect us all.
  3. Self-Screen Daily.
    1. Self-screen every morning. Take your temperature before you leave your room. If you have a fever over 100, stay put and inform your RA or Health Services (479-524-1621). Assess for other COVID symptoms.
  4. Wash your hands.
    1. Wash your hands with soap and water whenever possible and use the available sanitizer often.
  5. Set the Standard.
    1. Encourage each other to follow the guidelines. We all want to stay well and out of isolation or quarantine.

We will keep you busy and active, learning about JBU and getting acquainted throughout Orientation; so don't schedule anything else during this time. JBU expects all new full-time students to take part in Orientation
