SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. (January 8, 2013) - Head men’s soccer coach John Miglarese has resigned, effective immediately, announced Director of Athletics Robyn Daugherty. Migarlese was quickly signed to lead the men’s soccer program at NCAA II King (Tenn).

"It was a very difficult decision to go” admitted Miglarese. “However, moving to King allows us to be closer to family. I am also excited about the challenge of rebuilding King's once nationally prominent program."

Miglarese was at the helm of three winning seasons during his four seasons in Siloam Springs. Of those three winning seasons, Miglarese’s squad was able to amass at least 10 wins in each season (2009-10, 12) which culminated in the Golden Eagles’ appearance in the 2012 Sooner Athletic Conference tournament championship game.

"I have absolutely loved my time at JBU,” said Miglarese. “It has been a blessing to be associated with such an amazing school and soccer program over the past four seasons. I am very proud of what the team has accomplished on the field and of the young men I was honored to coach.

“I want to personally thank Robyn Daugherty for her leadership and support as well as giving me the opportunity to be a Golden Eagle. I will always be a strong supporter of the JBU soccer program and of the University's mission."

In his four seasons with John Brown University, Miglarese placed 12 student-athletes on the All-Conference team, including three last season alone. Prior to the start of the 2012 season, Golden Eagle Men's Soccer was one of seven JBU athletic teams named to the 2011-12 NAIA Scholar Team list for team academic success.

"The next coach has a great situation to step into.” Migalrese added. There are nine returning starters on a team that were conference tournament finalists. He inherits a fantastic group of players with a very strong core of upperclassmen leaders. The team's current culture is one of the most unique I have ever been around. The future is bright for the program."

Miglarese finished his John Brown career with a 40-30-6 overall record, including an 18-14-5 mark in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
