Arnold named Setter of the Week for third time
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- For the third time in her career, junior Alyssa Arnold has been named the Sooner Athletic Setter of the Week, conference offices announced Monday (Oct. 17) afternoon.
Arnold led the Golden Eagles (15-10, 6-6 SAC) to a 1-1 week averaging 6.1 assists per set over nine frames. She hoisted 25 assists in a four-set loss to Wayland Baptist (Texas) before following that up with a 30-assist performance in a four-set win over Southwestern Christian (Okla.).
Despite running a 6-2 offense, Arnold is eighth among SAC setters in total assists (502) and ninth in sets per conference game (5.0).
The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday (Oct. 21) in Ft. Worth to pay a visit to Texas Wesleyan at 7 p.m.
