Award-Winning Author Bryan Loritts Headlines Spiritual Renewal Week

SILOAM SPRINGS, Arkansas (Jan. 17, 2018) – John Brown University welcomes Bryan Loritts, award-winning author and lead pastor of Abundant Life Christian Fellowship of Silicon Valley, California, as the featured speaker for JBU’s Spiritual Renewal Week. Loritts will address students in the Cathedral of the Ozarks on Tuesday, Jan. 23 and Thursday, Jan. 25 at 10:30 a.m., with an additional talk on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m. in the Simmons Great Hall.

Loritts, in addition to pastoring a megachurch known for a multi-ethnic, multi-generational community, travels extensively preaching the gospel at conferences and events, serves on the board of trustees for Biola University and Pine Cove Christian Camps, and has authored five books. His book “Saving the Saved” was awarded Christianity Today’s Award of Merit. In 2003, Loritts co-founded Fellowship Memphis where he served as lead pastor for 11 years, and later founded The Kainos Movement, an organization focused on inspiring a movement for the multi-ethnic church to become the new normal.

“Spiritual Renewal Week is a time set out in the beginning of the spring semester to excite, encourage and equip students as they continue in their studies and spiritual lives,” Tracy Balzer, director of Christian Formation, said. “Loritts has touched thousands of people’s lives through his ministry, writings and speeches. We are so honored to have him temporarily become part of our community as he imparts his wisdom, knowledge and perspective to our students.”
