Christian Author Jill Briscoe Headlines JBU's Spiritual Emphasis Week

SILOAM SPRINGS, ARK. (Aug. 31, 2016) – Jill Briscoe, author of over 40 faith-based books, will headline John Brown University’s Spiritual Emphasis Week from Sept. 6 - 8. Briscoe will speak to JBU students in the Cathedral of the Ozarks Sept. 6 and 8 at 10:30 a.m. and Sept. 7 at 10 a.m.

Briscoe, born in England, is an author, speaker and editor-in-chief of Just Between Us, a magazine that encourages and equips women for every stage of their faith. Teaching and speaking all over the world, Briscoe also serves on the board for Christianity Today and World Relief. Her books include “The Deep Place Where Nobody Goes: Conversations with God on the Steps of My Soul,” “Prayer That Works” and more.

“It’s always a joy to have Briscoe on campus, especially during Spiritual Emphasis Week, as she imparts her perspective, knowledge and wisdom on the student body,” Tracy Balzer, director of Christian formation, said. “She has touched so many people’s lives through her ministry. We are glad JBU students will be able to learn and grow from her.”

Briscoe can be heard regularly with husband Stuart and their son Pete on Telling the Truth, their half-hour radio show broadcasted to over 500 media outlets worldwide. The Briscoe’s currently reside in Wisconsin, where Stuart pastored a church for over 30 years.
