Educator Commitment Signing at John Brown University

SILOAM SPRINGS, Arkansas (April 12, 2021) – The Department of Teacher Education is hosting a signing event for JBU teacher candidates who are committing to teach in Arkansas when they graduate in May, December and May 2022. Guests from the Siloam Springs School district will speak as well as JBU representatives will say a few words. The event will highlight the partnership between JBU and the local school districts as they work together to prepare teachers.

This is an initiative promoted by the Arkansas Department of Education. Universities across the state are hosting events throughout the week to highlight their partnerships with local school districts and emphasize the commitment to preparing high-quality teachers, encouraging them to teach in Arkansas. The “Commitment from the students” is when they will sign their certificates. This will be a good photo opportunity.
