Fourth Graders Visit JBU to Prep for State Testing
SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. (April 17, 2014) - John Brown University will host 300 fourth grade students to help them get ready for state testing in science on Tuesday, April 22 and Thursday, April 24. The partnership between JBU and the Siloam Springs School District provides students with tutoring by university students in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math.
Students will begin each day with lunch on the quad, followed by a welcome session by Jared Burgess, director of visitation at JBU. The fourth graders will rotate through three stations – one led by science majors, another by engineering majors and a third by education majors who will help the students conduct science experiments.
