JBU Artist Series Welcomes Russian String Orchestra

SILOAM SPRINGS, Arkansas (Feb. 22, 2018) – John Brown University's Artist Series welcomes the Russian String Orchestra to perform on Thursday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Berry Performing Arts Center.

The Russian String Orchestra, formerly known as the Chamber Orchestra Kremlin, is comprised of Russia's finest string players under the age of 30 and is musically directed under its founder Misha Rachlevsky. Since 1991, the Russian String Orchestra with warmth and high energy strives to create addictive performances that leaves a lasting impression on listeners.

The orchestra has performed nearly 2,000 concerts in Moscow, North America, South America, Europe and the Far East. The orchestra's discography of over 30 CDs has received international acclaim, being awarded Record of the Year in Hong Kong, Diapason d'Or Award in France, Critics Choice in The New York Times and Critics Choice in London's Gramophone.
