JBU Drama Department Presents ‘A Murder is Announced’

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. (September 30, 2013) - John Brown University’s Drama Department presents Agatha Christie’s “A Murder Is Announced,” adapted for the stage by Leslie Darbon, Oct. 4-5 and 11-12.

In quintessential Christie style, the audience will be guessing right up till the final curtain in this classic whodunit with many twists and turns. When an announcement in the local paper predicts a murder in the house of Miss Blacklock on Friday the 13th, the residents are hurled head-first into a mystery of profound proportions. Dangers, mixed motives, and concealed identities drive this compelling and exciting tale. One Inspector will try to sift through the facts to find the truth with the help of Miss Marple.

Performances will be Friday, Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 5 at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Oct.11 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Oct.12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Berry Performing Arts Center on the JBU campus.
