JBU Presents Acclaimed Classic "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"
SILOAM SPRINGS, Arkansas (Feb. 2, 2018) – John Brown University’s Department of Music and Theatre presents the spring play “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” performed Feb. 16, Feb. 23, and Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m., and Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. in the Berry Performing Arts Center.
In this adaption and dramatization, Tim Kelly, one of America's most popular playwrights, captures the essence of one of the great classics of world literature, Victor Hugo's novel “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.” Kelly brings to life the memorable fictional characters of Quasimodo, the pitiable but good-hearted bell-ringer of Notre Dame Cathedral; the vain, handsome Captain Phoebus; the villainous Frollo; the temperamental poet Pierre Gringoire; the colorful Beggars of Paris; and Esmeralda, the beautiful, innocent and naive gypsy, whom the characters all love.
Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for senior adults and JBU alumni, faculty and staff, $7 for non-JBU students and $3 for JBU students. To purchase tickets, go to www.jbu.edu/tickets or call 479-524-7382.
