JBU Presents Jazz-Age Musical Comedy ‘The Boy Friend’

SILOAM SPRINGS, Arkansas (Oct. 18, 2017) – John Brown University’s Department of Music & Theatre presents the fall musical production of “The Boy Friend,” from Oct. 27-28 and Nov. 2-3 in the Berry Performing Arts Center.

The musical follows the story of a rich, young heiress named Polly in 1920s French Riviera who is determined to land a boyfriend. In a zany send-up of jazz-age musical comedies in the spirit of Irving Berlin, this 1953 mistaken identity farce has plenty of toe-tapping melodies, energetic dance numbers and laughs. Appropriate for the entire family, it is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.

Performances are Oct. 27-28 and Nov. 2-3 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for senior adults, JBU alumni, JBU faculty and staff, $7 for non-JBU students and $3 for JBU students.

To purchase tickets, go to jbu.edu/tickets or call 479-524-7382.
