Johnson Announces Signing of Molli Pugh

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. (April 22, 2013) - Molli Pugh, a native of Little Rock, Ark., has signed to join the Golden Eagle volleyball squad next season, head coach Stacie Johnson announced today.

Pugh, a graduate of Little Rock Christian, was a multi-sport athlete during her time as a Warrior, spending three years playing girls’ basketball while playing all four seasons on the volleyball team. Under the tutelage of Karen Schaedig, Pugh was named a three-time 5A All-State player en route to leading her squad to three consecutive runs deep into the state tournament, including a state runner-up finish in 2011 and 2012.

“We are very excited that Molli is joining our volleyball family,” said Johnson. “She will impact our offense and defense right away. She is a well-rounded volleyball player and is a great fit for John Brown.”

Pugh nabbed All-Conference accolades all four seasons while notching All-State Tournament honors in her last three seasons of competition. In 2012, Pugh was named a Top-25 player across the state of Arkansas.

The 5-foot-11 middle blocker was also a model student at Little Rock Christian, earning a place on the Academic Honor Roll all four years of high school, culminating in a 3.87 GPA.

Pugh, the daughter of Kenny and Kristi, will look to major in Graphic and Web Design during her time in Siloam Springs.
