Men's Tennis Drops Second Match to Harding

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. -- Finally playing on a home surface, the John Brown men's tennis team (1-6) suffered a second 9-0 setback to Harding (Ark.) this season.

JBU improved from its last defeat to the Bison (9-4) and picked up points in two of three doubles matches.

Freshman Nathan Kuykendall posted a strong score at No. 4 singles, but fell to Harding's Henrique Vieira, 6-3, 7-5. The Golden Eagles limited HU to just two clean sweeps in single action as freshman Fernando Hurley grabbed a pair of games at the second flight, as did sophomore Kumhal Fulghem at the third.

JBU returns to action on Saturday (April 2) when it travels to Clarksville, Ark., to take on University of the Ozarks at 2 p.m. The Golden Eagles already have a 7-2 win over the Eagles under its belt earlier this season on Feb. 20.
