U.S. Senator John Boozman to Speak at JBU Commencement

SILOAM SPRINGS, ARK. (Dec. 3, 2015) – John Brown University announced today that U.S. Senator John Boozman will serve as the December 2015 commencement speaker. JBU’s commencement exercises will be held in the Bill George Arena on Dec. 19 at 10 a.m.

JBU will graduate 179 undergraduate and 123 graduate students at the ceremony. Doors will open to commencement guests at 8:30 a.m.

U.S. Senator John Boozman represented the 3rd District of Arkansas in the U.S. House of Representatives for five terms before he was elected to the U.S. Senate in January 2011 where he currently serves on five committees and chairs two subcommittees. In addition to these committees, Boozman serves on the Commission on Security Cooperation in Europe, the Congressional Study Group on Europe, and is one of six Congressional Regents on the Smithsonian Institute’s Board of Regents.

Boozman and his wife, Cathy, have three daughters and one granddaughter and currently reside in Rogers, Ark.
