Golfers finish tenth in OKC

Oklahoma City (April 11, 2012) - The JBU golf team placed 10th out of 11 teams after competing in the two-day Southwestern Christian University Invitational taking place at the Hefner Golf Course in Oklahoma City.
The Golden Eagles shot a 641, while tournament winner Oklahoma Baptist shot a team score of 563, 11 strokes ahead of runner-up Bellevue University (Neb.).
OBU’s Nathan Chambers won first place individually after defeating teammate Graham Billeg in a shootout. Both shot 136.
Individually for JBU, junior Cameron Lindsey finished first and tied for 38th overall. Senior Matt Brooker was 41st with a 158. Sophomore Dallas Boote finished 43rd with a 159. Freshmen Tommy Wright and Aaron Dickinson were 54th and 58th, respectively.
Up next, the men travel to Lubbock, Texas to compete in the Sooner Athletic Conference Championship April 23-24.
