Senior Adrian Miller dropped in 20 points and six boards in an 80-64 win over SGU on Thursday night.

Shawnee, Okla. (January 26, 2012) - The JBU men’s basketball team cruised to an 80-64 win over St. Gregory’s (Okla.) on Thursday night in Shawnee to move to 16-5 overall and 8-5 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

Senior Adrian Miller had a monster night with 20 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals in 27 minutes of action.  Senior Andy Garcia added 15 points and eight boards.  Junior Abel Galliguez tossed in 13 after going 3-of-6 from downtown. 

SGU (4-15, 1-12) was led by Pud Ross and Ronnie Hishaw with 15 each.  Fayzon Richey scored 11.

JBU dominated from the opening tip and pulled away early en route to a 45-27 halftime lead. 

The Eagles continued to extend their lead in the second half, before coasting to the 16 point victory.

Overall, JBU torched the nets hitting 59.2 percent (29-of-49) from the floor including 47.1 percent (8-of-17) from long range.  SGU, meanwhile, knocked down 39.6 percent (19-of-48) of their attempts.  JBU won the rebounding battle 36 to 27.

Up next, the men return home to face No. 3 Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday at 5 p.m. in Bill George Arena.
