Bartlesville, Okla. (November 26, 2011) - The JBU men's basketball team improved to 7-1 overall after dropping Oklahoma Wesleyan 77-72 in non-conference road action on Saturday night.

Senior Adrian Miller led JBU with 22 points and seven rebounds.  Senior Andy Garcia also had a strong performance with 17 points and eight boards, and junior Coleson Rakestraw hit double digits with 13.

For OWU (4-7), four players finished in double figures led by Phillip Jahn with 14.

After falling behind early, JBU rallied and managed to tie things up at 38 heading into the break.

In the second half, JBU stepped up their defensive intensity and started to get things rolling on offense.

With less than a minute to play, JBU held a five point edge after a bucket from Miller with 48 seconds to play.  But OWU, quickly responded on the other end to cut it to 73-70, JBU.

After another Miller basketball and pair of freebies from OWU, JBU still held a three point, 75-72, advantage with six seconds remaining in the game.  OWU fouled and sent JBU to the line where Miller iced the game after knocking down a pair of clutch free-throws.
