Men's soccer battles to a tie

Shawnee, Okla. (October 26, 2011) - After 110 minutes of action the JBU men’s soccer team walked away with a 0-0 tie against conference foe Oklahoma Baptist on Wednesday evening in Shawnee.

The men now stand at 7-7-2 overall and 4-2-2 in the SAC.

OBU (7-8-1, 3-4-1) outshot JBU 24-13 with an 11-5 shots on goal advantage. 

JBU keeper Pablo Garcia picked up 10 saves, while OBU’s Marcus Oliveira gathered five.

The men return home for their final two matches of the regular season.  They take on St. Gregory’s (Okla.) on Saturday at 3 p.m. and Rogers State next Tuesday, Nov. 1 also at 3 p.m.
