Men's Soccer winless after losing to Reinhardt

Jackson, Tenn. (September 3, 2011) - The JBU men’s soccer team dropped to 0-3 on the year after an 0-2 loss to Reinhardt (Ga.) on Saturday at the Union University Classic in Jackson, Tenn.

Reinhardt’s Dan Carpenter gave his team a one goal advantage when he scored at the 36:25 mark.  And in the second half, Sam Barnsley added to the cushion after connecting with John Connolly in the 56th minute. 

JBU had four tries on goal but got denied on each attempt. 

For the match, Reinhardt out shot JBU 11-10 with an 8-4 shots on goal advantage. 

Freshman Matt Henry spent the day in goal for the Golden Eagles and picked up five saves.

JBU returns to action on Friday, Sept. 9 at 4 p.m. when they host Baker (Kan.) during the JBU Fall Classic.
