Golf Picks Up Third Place Finish

Batesville, Ark. (March 30, 2011) -
The JBU men’s golf team finished third out of six teams after the two-day Lyon (Ark.) Invitational hosted by Lyon College at The Course at Eagle Mountain in Batesville.
The Golden Eagles finished the par 72, 6607 yard course, with a two-day total of 644. Dakota Wesleyan was first with 620, and Central Baptist finished second after shooting a 628.
Individually for JBU, junior West Loveland led the team after finishing tied for fourth place overall with a two day total of 155 (85, 74). Junior Matt Brooker took seventh place with a 157 (79, 78). Sophomore Cameron Lindsey was 17th with a 165 (88, 77), sophomore Nathan Sudheimer finished 20th with a 168 (83, 85), and senior Jeff Hobble was 24th with a 172 (87, 85).
The men return to competition April 4-5 when they travel to participate in the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational at the Shawnee Country Club.
