Siloam Springs, Ark (February 26, 1998) - Noted author and speaker Father Joseph Girzone and Sister Dorothy Ederer will be presenting "A Portrait of Jesus" in Siloam Springs March 8-9.

On Sunday, March 8, they will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church speaking at 7 p.m. A reception will follow immediately, at which time Father Girzone will sell and autograph his books. The service is open to the public, and everyone is welcome.

On March 9, Girzone and Ederer will speak from 7-9 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Ozarks on the John Brown University campus. They will be available afterwards to sign books. The service is free and open to the public. Contact Sharon Smith at 524-7213 for more information.

Father Girzone is the author of the book "Joshua," which has sold over a million copies and has been translated into various languages. "Joshua" is one of eleven books he has written. His work is unique in that it is popular among peoples of all different religions, including Catholics, Protestants, Buddhists, Shintoists, Hindus and Moslems. Recently, the Chinese government asked to translate "Joshua" into Chinese for all the children of their schools to read.

Sister Ederer is co-director of the Joshua Foundation, which was founded by Girzone. She received a bachelor's degree from Aquinas College and a master's in secondary education from Central Michigan University. She taught junior high school for 14 years and spent the next 13 years in campus ministry at St. Thomas More Student Parish in Kalamazoo, Mich. before joining Girzone at the Joshua Foundation two years ago. Ederer has written five books, including a companion study guide to "Joshua."
