Rangers outgun Golden Eagles


Alva, Okla. (December 4, 2010) - The JBU men’s basketball team fell 79-90 to Northwestern Okla. State on Saturday night in Alva dropping the men to 9-2 overall and 1-2 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
Three JBU players finished in double-digits led by senior Sam Bartlett with 22 points. Sophomores EJ McWoods and Coleson Rakestraw both finished with 18.
NWOSU (7-2, 2-1) got a game high 26 points from Marshall Bell and a career high 22 points from Thiago Guilherme.
JBU shot 52.7 percent (29-of-55) from the field including 33.3 percent (6-of-18) from three point territory. NWOSU, meanwhile, hit 46.3 percent (31-of-67) from the floor and 45.5 percent (10-of-22) from long distance.
JBU loss the rebounding battle 39-37 and committed 16 turnovers while forcing only nine.
The Golden Eagles look to close out the fall semester at home against Rogers State (Okla.) on Saturday, December 11 at 3 p.m.
