Netters Fall on the Road

Oklahoma City (November 10, 2008) - The JBU women’s volleyball closed out the regular season with a 3-1 loss against conference foe Mid America Christian (Okla.) on Monday night. With the loss the women fall to 20-10 overall and 10-4 in conference play.

MACU (7-21, 3-11) took the first game 25-20. In the second game, the Golden Eagles came out strong en route to the 25-16 win. The third game saw both teams battle back and forth before MACU escaped with the two point 25-23 win. In game four, MACU jumped out to an early lead, and JBU couldn’t put together a comeback as MACU took the game and match with a 25-16 win.

On offensive, Laurae Marty picked up 11 kills while Britney Kerns earned 19 assists. Defensively, Shannon Proctor posted 19 digs.

The ladies must now wait until several teams complete their regular season games tonight to find out their final seeding heading in the SAC conference tournament taking place in Oklahoma City Nov. 13-15.
