Commencement Ceremonies Held at JBU

Siloam Springs, Ark. (May 7, 2008) - John Brown University held its 89th commencement ceremony for undergraduates Saturday, May 3. Family and friends of the 182 graduating seniors gathered in the Walton Lifetime Health Complex, on the campus of JBU, for the festivities. Stan McKinnon delivered the commencement address. He is finishing his ninth year at John Brown University as Campus Pastor, Assistant Professor in the Division of Biblical Studies, and Associate Dean of Students. McKinnon is leaving JBU to become vicar at Grace Episcopal Church in Siloam Springs. Graduating seniors and their families were treated to a special reception on Friday afternoon, May 2. Following the reception was a special baccalaureate service with Dr. Charles W. Pollard, president of JBU speaking. Commencement ceremonies for Graduate and Professional Studies (degree completion) will be held Saturday, May 10 at 10 a.m. in the Walton Lifetime Health Complex.
