Walenciak Elected Chairman

Siloam Springs, Ark (July 13, 2000) - Dr. Joe Walenciak, JBU division chair and professor of business was recently elected to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).

The IACBE is a specialized accrediting body for schools of business and related areas of study. It has a global reach with member institutions in Latin America, Europe, Asia and the United States. It is one of three major accrediting bodies for business schools and is the only one that focuses mainly on the quality of program outcomes.

Dr. Walenciak will serve a one-year term in his role of chairman. The IACBE Board of Commissioners is the body that decides whether an applying university becomes accredited.

John Brown University is a private university with an enrollment of 1,500 students from 47 states and 33 countries. JBU is a member of the Arkansas Independent Colleges and Universities and the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.
