Siloam Springs, Ark. (September 28, 2006) - John Brown University not only lost the match to Evangel (Mo.) 3-0 on Thursday night, but they also lost senior Summer Cox, to a season ending injury.

“This was a tough night for us,” said head coach Robyn Gordon. “We lost Summer to a broken leg in the second game. It was just a freak accident.”

Cox has been instrumental in the Golden Eagle attack this season, and has been a key player in several victories this year.

For the match, Juliana Todescan tallied 31 assists and freshman Kaylie Porter had 14 digs.

John Brown (9-13, 2-0 SAC) returns to action on the road next Thursday, October 5th against conference foe, Oklahoma City.
