JBU Presents ‘Illustrators 58’ Exhibit of Leading Contemporary Illustrators’ Artwork

SILOAM SPRINGS, Arkansas (Jan. 19, 2017) – John Brown University’s Department of Visual Arts presents “Illustrators 58,” an exhibit featuring a selection of 40 pieces created by leading contemporary illustrators worldwide.

“We are so fortunate to be able to bring this collection of outstanding work to Northwest Arkansas,” said Charles Peer, gallery director. “A prestigious jury, including renowned illustrators, art directors and designers, selected the artwork. It is inspiring to see the range of techniques, styles and images that have received this level of recognition.”

Based on the original show held at the Museum of Illustration at the Society of Illustrators in New York City, “Illustrators 58” has travelled throughout the U.S. representing categories in advertising, books, editorial, institutional and un-commissioned pieces.

The exhibit will be on display from Jan. 18 through Feb. 10. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. or by special arrangement. For further information or to schedule alternative viewing times contact the JBU Department of Visual Arts at 479-238-8561.
