JBU Dedicates North Residence Hall


Siloam Springs, Ark. (April 1, 2005) - John Brown University students will lead the dedication ceremony of the North Residence Hall (North Hall) on today, April 1 at 10:45 a.m. at North Hall (weather permitting). At this student-lead ceremony, a giant red ribbon will wrap around North Hall. An expected 500 participants will receive a pair of North Hall Dedication scissors, line the outside of the building and cut the massive ribbon together. The public is invited to attend and participate. The $5.9 million project reached completion after less than one year of construction. Construction officially began on Sept. 4, 2003 and was completed on Aug. 10, 2004. John Brown University is a private Christian university, ranked eighth by U.S. News & World Report in the Southern Region. JBU enrolls more than 1,900 students from 43 states and 39 countries. JBU is a member of Arkansas’ Independent Colleges and Universities and the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.
