JBU Logos

Our logo story

The shield is reminiscent of the first logo used in 1938. The three dark blue quadrants represent our threefold motto, "Head, Heart, Hand." The iconic Cathedral of the Ozarks is represented in the fourth quadrant. The center cross that divides the quadrants represents JBU's Christian motto "Christ Over All." The circle in the center of the cross alludes to the Cathedral Plaza where JBU's heritage is honored through name-engraved bricks of those that have faithfully served JBU.

Determining What File Type You Need

  • Submitting to a company for printing on shirts, pens, etc. where they might need to resize the file? Use a .eps or .pdf file.
  • Putting it on top of a colored background or photograph and need it to be transparent (not in a white box), either print or online? Use a .png file.
  • Does someone want the true source file to be used in a vector-based graphics program? Use an .ai or .eps file.
  • Putting it in a document with a white background, or web page with white background? Use a .jpg file.
