Position Summary

The Campus Experience Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering exceptional experiences for prospective students and groups visiting JBU’s campus. This position ensures that each visit is seamless and memorable by managing a team of student interns (CampEx), coordinating individual and group visits, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, creativity, and a genuine commitment to hospitality. The ideal candidate will demonstrate administrative excellence, interpersonal warmth, and alignment with the university’s mission.

Position Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor CampEx, the team of student interns responsible for scheduling individual campus visits.
  • Train student staff on customer service standards, tour guidelines, and effective communication strategies.
  • Lead regular meetings to review performance, address concerns, and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Build strong working relationships with student directors to support their personal and professional growth.
  • Manage front-desk operations in the Enrollment lobby, including greeting guests, directing traffic, answering calls, and ensuring a hospitable environment.
  • Oversee the scheduling of individual campus visits, including tours, information sessions, and meetings with faculty or coaches.
  • Communicate with prospective students and families via email, phone, or online platforms to visit details.
  • Customize visits and fulfill special requests to enhance each guest’s experience.
  • Lead campus and residential hall tours as needed
  • Assist the Director of Events and Campus Experiences in coordinating group visits from schools and organizations.
  • Provide administrative support to the VP of Enrollment as needed.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Physical demands:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; stand; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk and hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
