Special Education

Master of Education

Make a difference in the lives of students who learn differently.

Special Education is more than a job; it's a calling. Special education teachers have the opportunity to meet students where they are—to help them grow academically and socially.

JBU's M.Ed. in Special Education Program is for students who already have a teaching license and are wanting to pursue a Arkansas Special Education K-12 endorsement. You'll gain the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to make a difference in the lives of children who learn differently.

If you feel called to work in special education, John Brown University can equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to be successful in the classroom and beyond. JBU offers several options in special education:

  • Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Education K-12
  • Special Education K-12 Licensure Only Program
  • Special Education Resource K-6 or 7-12 Endorsement

All Special Education programs are approved by the Arkansas Department of Education.
