Alex holds master MS and educational specialist EdS degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Harding University, and prior to this he obtained a bachelor BS degree in psychology with minors in philosophy and Biblical studies. He is licensed in the state of Arkansas as a Licensed Professional Counselor LPC, is a National Certified Counselor NCC and is also enrolled with the University of the Cumberlands working toward a doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision. Alex is also a registered therapist of Emotionally Focused Therapy EFT and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist CSAT candidate.

Alex has experience in individual, group, relationship, and career counseling with clients of all ages, and he has worked with people dealing with a wide variety of diagnoses and difficulties. He has worked with children as young as four and adults in the geriatric population. Alex has worked within a variety of in-patient facilities, private practice settings, and community mental health agencies. Additionally, he has spent a total of 19 weeks serving individuals in the Dominican Republic, Mongolia, and South Korea.

Alex met his wife, Rachel, during college, and they are best friends navigating the adventure of parenting their son Landon. They also have a dog named Atlas. Alex enjoys trail running, listening to vinyl records, reading and writing.
