Arkansas State Scholarships
Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship: $1,000–$5,000
Governor's Distinguished Scholarship Program: $10,000
To apply for scholarships from the state of Arkansas, Arkansas residents should complete the Arkansas YOUniversal Scholarship Application. The application for the 2021-2022 school year is available as of October 1, 2020.

JBU's Arkansas Challenge Gap Grant: $3,000 (one-time)
The Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship is $1,000 for Year 1 and $4,000 for Year 2. To bridge that gap, JBU offers an a one-time $3,000 scholarship to incoming freshman who receive the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship.
- Unlimited number of awards each year
- Recipient must be a first-time freshman recipient of the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship. Complete the Arkansas YOUniversal Scholarship Application to apply for the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship.
- Not eligible for renewal. Your Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship will increase by $3,000 for your sophomore year.
- Not available to students receiving a full-tuition scholarship or remission.
