Academic Competitive Scholarships
Amounts and criteria for the 2021–2022 school year

JBU offers two kinds of academic scholarships: merit-based and competitive. Students with qualifying GPAs and test scores will be formally invited to compete for one of our competitive scholarships.
Award amounts
Presidential Scholarship: $27,500
Chancellor's Scholarship: $14,000
Eligibility requirements
Automatic invitations to the compete for Competitive Scholarships are extended to students that meet these academic requirements. Students demonstrating great leadership ability may also be personally invited by Admissions Counselors.

Other details
Test scores may be updated through the October ACT/SAT/CLT for the fall timeline and through the January ACT/SAT/CLT for the spring timeline. Students who do not qualify for the fall timeline but later raise their score may be invited to compete in the spring.
Students may only attend one event and may receive only one academic scholarship. Any competitive academic scholarship offered will replace the Trustee's award.
JBU does not evaluate the writing portion of ACT or SAT when determining scholarship eligibility.
**Test optional students are ineligible for competitive scholarships but may be eligible to receive merit-based scholarships.
**Transfer students are ineligible for competitive scholarships but may be eligible to receive merit-based scholarships.
**Only current high school seniors are eligible to compete for competitive scholarships.
**Competitive scholarships may not be combined with the Leadership Scholarship.
