On-Campus UndergraduateGet an Early Financial Aid Offer

Use JBU's net price calculator to get started

The FAFSA may not be ready, but we are.

As of January 30, 2024, the U.S. Department of Education does not expect to transmit FAFSA applicant information to schools until March, at the earliest.

In the meantime, JBU is offering guaranteed financial aid to applicants right now.*

How do I get an early offer?

  1. Use JBU's net price calculator and save your results

Please download your results (click the Download PDF button on the results page) or check the box at the bottom of the calculator to share your information with JBU.

Tip! If you have submitted the 2024–2025 FAFSA form, you may input the SAI (Student Aid Index) figure listed on your FAFSA Submission Summary into the net price calculator to skip several of the questions.

  2. Request an early financial aid offer

If you downloaded your net price calculator results, be sure to upload them on the form.

  3. Get your guaranteed financial aid offer*

We'll review your results and send you a guaranteed financial aid offer for your first academic year.* You'll hear from your admissions counselor as soon as your offer is ready. Typically, an offer will be ready within a week of a new request.

Frequently asked questions

My Net Price Calculator result is more than can I afford. Is there anything I can do to get more aid?

We strongly encourage you to request an early offer even if you can't afford the estimate provided by the Net Price Calculator. Once we have your request, your admissions counselor will be able to help you explore potential options for additional aid.

Can I submit the Net Price Calculator multiple times?

Yes, you may submit the Net Price Calculator as many times as you'd like. Once you are ready to request an early offer, please use the most accurate information available to you. If you upload a copy of your results on the Early Offer Request Form, we will use those results. If you choose to share your results with JBU using the Net Price Calculator, we will use the most recently submitted results. Please do not resubmit the Net Price Calculator with your information shared after you have requested an early offer unless instructed to do so by JBU. You may continue to use the calculator without submitting your information.

Do I still have to submit the FAFSA?

Yes, if you are eligible to submit the FAFSA, you must do so once it becomes available in 2024 in order to receive your guaranteed financial aid offer.

Is my early offer really guaranteed?

The institutional aid (money from JBU) on your early offer will be guaranteed so long as the estimated Student Aid Index (SAI) from your Net Price Calculator results are within 15% of your official SAI calculated by the FAFSA. If the SAI from the FAFSA is greater than 15%, the institutional aid is subject to change. Therefore, all financial information submitted through the Net Price Calculator must be accurate to the best of your knowledge. A review of financial information with your family may improve the accuracy of information submitted. Additionally, please confirm that all test scores and/or GPA used are accurate and consistent with your high school transcript that is on file with the JBU Admissions Office.

Any Federal Aid (Federal Pell Grant, SEOG, work-study, or Federal Student Loans) cannot be guaranteed and is subject to change based on the results of the FAFSA.

Additional financial assistance (i.e., competitive scholarships, athletics, music, art, departmental aid, state aid, outside scholarships) could cause previously offered need-based aid (e.g., “JBU Scholarship Fund” or “JBU Founder’s”) to change.

What if my estimate doesn't match my FAFSA results?

The JBU institutional aid will not be reduced if the final Student Aid Index (SAI) from the FAFSA is within 15% of Net Price Calculator. If the SAI from the FAFSA is greater than 15%, the institutional aid is subject to change.

I'm a prospective international or undocumented student. Can I participate?
