Growth groups

Growth Groups are peer-led and faculty/staff-led groups that meet weekly for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, book discussion, or to address a particular area of interest from within the group. These groups offer a variety of time commitments ranging from a few weeks to a full year.

Retreats

Whether it's Fall Breakaway at New Life Ranch or the spring retreats for men and women, JBU's annual retreats are a great time to get away from campus, connect with other students and grow in your relationship with Christ. Silent retreats are also sometimes offered.

Spiritual mentoring

In addition to small groups, Student Ministries seeks to connect students in the pursuit of mentoring relationships.

Walker prayer chapel

A small prayer chapel is available to our JBU community in Walker Student Center next to the Office of Christian Formation. It is open 24/7.

Seminars and lectures

OCF can conduct seminars on prayer, journaling, Christian meditation, and silence and solitude throughout the year. Outside Christian formation experts conduct lectures on various topics for students.

Resources

The OCF Resource Room (WSC124) is open during business hours with a variety of books and resources for the community. Coffee and tea are waiting.
